EDNA L. RYNDA

Edna and her husband, Fran, were very dear friends of my parents, Walter and Pearl Elmer. My mother met Edna after she and her sisters moved in down the street from my mom and her folks in Inglewood. Having met their future husbands after WWll through the Ingleaires, they and others formed a life-long friendship. In addition to the Ingleaires, my parents enjoyed the Dominos Square Dancing Club with Fran and Edna, as well as regular card games - taking turns hosting at each other's homes.

My dear Aunt Edna was also my godmother. I remember her each time I see all the beautiful crochet items I have in my house. She was frequently the hostess of our family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She had a wonderful outlook on life and I always think of her as my second mother. She frequently babysat for me when my parents were away for a day and always tucked me in with a kiss, if I stayed over. She also sewed for my dolls!
