Not sure what to say?

What a Wonderful Woman I had the pleasure of knowing in Mrs. Stringer. I haven't seen her since I was a student at Forrest High School in 1970. But I can still feel her kindness. She made me feel special and loved. Somehow I felt extra special around Mrs. Stringer because she was so kind to me. Those of you who saw her every day are so privileged to have spent that time with such a lovely woman. I feel very fortunate myself to have worked in the Guidance Office at school and to be around her...

I love Edna Stringer and her death will not make this past tense. I loved her in High School when she always said and did the right thing to be encouraging and foster confidence in ones'self. I loved seeing her after High Scool as she was always the same, what you saw and what you got was always the same and it was good to have a "rock" that you knew would be there, fixed, even in troubled waters. I appreciate her continued interest in me long after High school with her wise words and...

What a grand gal Edna was. She was always so fun-loving and happy during the years I enjoyed her friendship. Her pool parties were fun and her dancing was a delight. To Edna's family I thank you for allowing me to share her love and your love during those years. God Bless and much happiness as her spirit lives on through each of you. Love, Beth (Howard)

Dear family

From my heart I would like to say that Mom was for me like a real mother. She was right near me when I needed somebody. I never felt like a stranger, I felt like if I was home with my family. Renee, little sis, and all of you, I pray pray to the Lord to give you comfort. Love always. Angelina

One thing I forgot to say when I signed the book yesterday.......
GO GATORS!!!!

Edna Stringer was a warm and wonderful lady. She had a smile that would brighten any room. She was the best Mother to her own children and grandchildren as well as to many of her exchange students and a good friend to their families. Edna is still watching over you all and will live on in your hearts forever.

Edna, my american Mother, played a very speacial part in my life when I was an exchange student in Jax in 1979. I've learned so much about life with her, during the time I've lived with the Stringer family in 06 months. In 25 years, I stil remember every single day.We Love you all. Adelson, Paula, Lorena and Larissa.

Greetings to you all. My words come to you in this time of woe. perhaps it is in place for me to say that Me, and my family (from over here in mexico) are with you all. And I just don't say it, or just write it down... I mean it. Just remember, as I heard once: "Everything, even darkness must pass..." and it will. Mrs. Stringer touched many people, as one was saying already, as well as she touched me. So may us all never forget everything she did, for it was part of what she was and is...
