Edward Aucoin Obituary

Moss Bluff - Edward Clinton Aucoin Sr., 95, passed away November 27, 2013 in SWLA War Veterans Home of Jennings. Edward served in the United States Army from 1941-1945. He was married for 66 years to his loving wife, Beatrice Aucoin. He worked for 35 years for Citgo. He and his late wife served a proselyting mission in TN and 3years as Stake missionaries in Jennings, LA. They also served a temple mission in Dallas, TX. He was the 2nd Branch President from 1952- 1958 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served as Stake High Counsel for 15 years for Houston/Beaumont Stake. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Edward and Darline Aucoin of Moss Bluff, Anna and Dale Jenson of Olathe, KS (presently serving a LDS mission in Manila), Gregory and Missy Aucoin of Moss Bluff and Clay and Susan Aucoin of American Fork, UT; one sister, Viola Mire of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Alvin "Buckie" Aucoin of Baytown, TX; 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice "Bea" Westbrook Aucoin; parents, William and Nellie Aucoin; brothers, Bill, Ivy, Gardner, Milton, Edgar and Gilbert; sisters, Tressy and Emma; one granddaughter, Tammy Aucoin. His funeral will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4700 Sale Lane Lake Charles, LA. The Bishop Ryan Gibson will officiate. Visitation will begin Monday, 5pm-8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and resume Tuesday 10am until service time at the church. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park.
