"Fast Eddie" was always a great friend and a bundle of energy. I sailed with Eddie and Mary Ann many times and we always had a lot of fun. He crewed for me one year on an offshore regatta from Galveston down to Port Aransas, and there are too many funny stores about that trip to tell. Of course, what happens on the boat, stays on the boat!! My heart goes out to Mary Ann and all of Eddie's family.

Some of my favorite memories of Eddie was our canoe trips to Big Bend National Park. Canoeing down the Santa Elena Canyon with Eddie as my canoe partner was always an adventure, like us trying to find all our equipment after we flipped over. We also spent some happy and fun filled times with our daughters at Rocky River and Camp Cullen with the YMCA Indian Princess Program. Eddie was a exceptional person, wonderful father.and a true friend. Eddie, we will miss you, and try to hold it down up...
