Dear Vicky, It was quite a shock when I came across Ed's obituary just today. Our deepest condolences to you and the family. Ed and I were good friends during our public and high school years and kept in touch after we went our separate ways after University. I always tried to visit with him during the few times that I was in Canada when I was studying and then working overseas. I may not have known this man personally, but I've seen and worked with people who've been affected by him for the best. My condolences and best wishes to the family and loved ones.

I did my final law school moot in front of Justice Belobaba. At a reception afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting him and I will never forget how wonderful he was to me and my dad (who had come watch the moot). He found out that I had just had my first child and my dad's first grandchild and practically gave us hugs telling my dad how he must be such proud papa. Will never forget that moment. What a great man.

Dear Vicki I'm so glad we were able to arrange such a nice weekend with you and Ed at our cottage last year. We had so much fun and Ed was so healthy at that time. We'll always remember the laughs, good food and walks we had. Such a wonderful man and he'll be missed by all. Love Gwen and David
