Not sure what to say?

Mr. Cepiel had a great influence on my life as one of the cross country and track runners he coached from 1970 thru 1973. One thing i always remember him asking me, "Do you want to quit yet?", somehow knowing that would have the opposite effect, making me try even harder. Since then athletics have been a great part of my life and i attribute that to him.

Rest in peace coach. You taught me a lot and because of you I am where I am today. Thanks for trusting in me and holding me accountable on the track and in life.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Cepiel. He was my track coach for my 4 years at Troy High. He truly made running track a joyous experience. I learned so much from him over my career at THS and beyond. My condolences to his entire family.

Dear Mark and Family members,

Your loved one sounded like a very accomplished and active man. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him, but I offer my sincerest condolences. What a full life he had. God Bless him and thanks for all his service to others!

My condolences to the family. I taught with Ed in the Troy City School District and admired him as a teacher, a coach, and, most importantly, as a man. He coached my brother, Ed, who ran cross country and track. My brother often mentioned what a wonderful coach and mentor Ed was. A gentle, sweet man...and a role model for all of us to follow.

My homeroom teacher in 1976. Later my Physics teacher. Always a kind word and a smile. What a good man and an excellent teacher. My deepest condolences. Please take care of yourselves during this time.

My Most Sincere condolences to wife, Lorraine, and the families of Mark, Eric, Michele, know I will keep your father in my prayers. May he R.I.P,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say, But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and...

Had Mr. Cepiel as a track coach and as a teacher. Impressed by him, but now even more impressed by him as not just the teacher, the coach, but as a man who did a lot for many, and his country. Now a teacher myself at the end of my career, and will be reminded of the impact an educator can make as I teach these last years. Thank you Ed for your lessons and your service!
