Not sure what to say?

Mr Furey was a very kind man who I always enjoyed talking to and loved his Irish Heritage. It was always fun to run into him at Caronna’s market, you always left with a smile on your face after talking to him.
Condolences to the Furey Family.
Thompsonville, and the world was a better place with Mr. Furey in it. He will be missed.

Ted was not just a wonderful Man.
He was a truly wonderful Uncle.
And I will miss walking on the Rocks at Old Lyme Shores where I spent my summers with him. Talking to him and laughing!
He was such a joy in my life!
And I will miss him very much!

Our condolences on your loss of Ted. We will miss his familiar smile, friendliness, his love of OLS, and his colorful Hawaiian shirts. We enjoyed his sharing the history of the beach with his many photos and stories. May he rest in piece. The McDonald family.

He was Edward, Ted, E.H.P.F., and Mr. Furey to many, but to my siblings and me he was Uncle Teddy. He was our grownup playmate, the captain of our adventures, the architect of our summer days at the shore, and more.
We knew him in every season, but summer stands out for sure. He showed me it’s possible to see more than one tide, to be present for both the low and the high of each day, how to stand in the shallows if you want to sink in and how to walk through deep waves if you don’t want...

Mr. Furey was one of my favorite teachers at St. Bernard School. Art class was so much fun. He was always super nice to my sisters (who also had him in 6th grade) and my daughter who had him for art class. He was a legend! My condolences to his family and friends.

Ted was a man of faith, persistence, creativity and intelligence, who used his gifts to encourage others to see the beauty around them. This was true in his garden, in his lifelong work to learn about and foster church art and architecture, and in his limitless capacity to give his time, talent and treasure for others. He lived Dante Alighieri's proclamation: "Beauty awakens the soul to act."

I will miss seeing Teddy at Old Lyme Shores. Always was an interesting person to talk with. Loved his matching bathing suit and top. Very unique. May he rest in peace. Old Lyme will not be the same without him in it.
