Hi-- I knew Ned in high school, where we were friends. Over the years, we'd find one another at the BSO and elsewhere. His jolly, affectionatge and old friend greeting alway made me feel that the world was a better place.

Ned was a consummate pun master who gracefully tolerated my feeble counter puns. Also I never met anyone with a clearer understanding of weather patterns, a great teacher.
