Edward John Kramer

I do not recall exactly when Ed and I first met. It was probably around 1986 when one of his graduate students, Ron Lasky, came to my office looking for some advice for his calculations. It was perfect timing - I just got tenure and was anxiously looking for new problems. For the next 11 years, up until Ed retired from Cornell, Ed was my closest collaborator and friend.
