Not sure what to say?

Mr. Lockke was also my favorite 6th grade teacher. I remember him bringing in antiques that he would have us write stories about and at the end of the week he would tell us what the object really was. He was someone the students could talk to and he had a wonderful sense of humor about himself. Mr. Lockke you are truly loved and missed.

Mr. Loccke's passing is a huge loss for anyone who ever had the pleasure of having him as a teacher. As a 6th grade student in 1980, he first appeared about 10 feet tall, which kept my attention, and then his calm and stoic demeanor held it for an entire year. His teaching was second to none and his stories about life, friends, and all the things a 6th grader needed to know to succeed were everlasting. There are plenty of people who I can say great things about, but this man set the...

I WILL NEVER FORGET MR.LOCKE.HE HAD A HUGE IMPACT ON MY LIFE.HE ALWAYS HAD TIME FOR HIS STUDENTS AND WOULD ALWAYS LISTEN TO US.HE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY.
ROB ORBAN (NEWBURGH N.Y.)

If anyone could inspire a 12-year-old, it was Ed Loccke. He inspired me 38 years ago and I will never forget it.

Some of my favorite and most treasured memories that I can recall from when I was younger were from Mr. Loccke's 6th grade class. I was fortunate enough to know and learn from this incredible human being that touched the lives of so many people in all facets of life. I will never forget the geography game we played in his class! He will be missed dearly, may he rest in peace.

Romina Senmartin - Class of '96-'97

I was privelaged enough to have him for both 5th and 6th grade. A teacher I will always remember forever. Influenced me in so many ways. He gave me confidence in many things I did, and I still think about the many things he told me to this day.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Loccke’s passing. I was in his 6th grade math class at Windsor Middle School (86-87), and he’s one of the reasons I grew to love the subject, and eventually pursue a degree in Math, establishing a career in the field. I was always a good student, but Mr. Loccke simply brought out the best in me, as he did with all of his students. I distinctly remember always looking forward to his class, and the wit, humor, and passion with which he approached every...

Mr. Loccke is a teacher I still think about to this day, 12 years after I was a student of his. His classroom was more like another home, he guided each and every one of us every day. He commanded respect but was able to laugh with us all of the time while teaching. My older brother and I even made him hieroglyphics in pie tins when we were younger. He used to tell me I would be a teacher when I was older, and I wish I could tell him that even though I resisted back then, I am currently in my...

Mr Loccke was my 6th grade teacher and the best teacher I've ever had. A few weeks ago someone asked me "was there a teacher that you had that influenced you to teach?"...my answer was simple: Mr. Loccke. I've been a teacher now for 9 years and my teaching style is based on his. I had the pleasure of being at a workshop with him the year before he retired. I'm thankful that I was given the opportunity to tell him what an impact he had on my life...he actually teared up. My heart and prayers...
