Not sure what to say?

To Ed's family: I have been the Falcons team MD for 41 years. The stories and funny incidents we have been involved in are legion, including Jack Fette. It is a miracle we all survived and didn't get fired. The NFL doesn't have fun like we used to. Love him!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Ed was a good man and always made my brothers and I feel at home whenever we were at his house.

Dear Naomi & family...
Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to you at your time of sorrow. Your husband & father was a unique and well thought of individual who will be greatly missed by all.

Sincerely,

Bud & Marion Guthrie

Naomi & Family

I was very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He will be fondly remembered, especially the great times in Ireland. May he rest in Peace.

Dear Naomi and Family,

All the best to you and the family. Naomi I hope this finds you in good health.
Chris, Please send a whistle with your father. I would appreciate if you could give him the one I gave him Harrisburg.

Your Godfather and Godmother,
Grace & Gene Flynn

"His life was gentle, and the elements
So mixed in him that nature might stand up and say to all the world “This was a man.”

Thanks for everything, Ed.

To Ed's family, Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember taking Ed's calls when he called into the UnionMutual swithborard. He was such a pleasant man to talk too. I was honored to get to meet him as well. He was a very nice person. I remember his bowties.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family members.

Dear Aunt Naomi and all of the cousins. I know you folks have heard this for years. Every time he would come to New Orleans to ref a game we were so excited. We knew the jokes and the stories were coming. We would re-arrange our schedules so as not to miss the visit. I do remember one time Mary Aileen and I picking him up at the airport. We never knew what kind of pants he would have on. Mary said "Ed, did you come in your pajamas" We called them the squiggle pants. I still remember that...

The good Lord has called home one of the greatest story tellers and a great humanitarian. I wonder if on his way up to pearly gates above if he passed that blue brick?!!! R.I.P. Uncle Ed. Oh, and one other thing. I don't think St. Peter is going to let you play on the holy links in that getup. You'll have to change!!!
