To Ed's Family
I had the pleasure of working with Ed for over a year at the Wheeler Y and he was such a pleasure - a true professional and a joy. I am shocked but I know he passed doing what he truly enjoyed. I know he will be missed at the Y, especially by his clients.

Ed, although we worked together for nearly 20yrs, my fondest memories are when we'd meet up at the Eastside or the Berkshire and shoot the bull over some cold Sam Adams. We enjoyed arguing over the Yankees and the Red Sox, Patriots and Packers. I last saw you a couple of years ago and you seemed happy. I want to remember you that way. Rest in Peace.

Well Ed--(you are still Eddie to me), I have to say that today the best "send-off" to heaven anyone could have asked for! I know you were there but silent as usual in such a big crowd. I also know you were so proud though somewhat embarrassed to see all the people there to honor you. AMAZING! And your family--so strong just as you would have wanted---your parents, sisters and sons--so loving and kind and humble--Hmm--wonder where you got it from? I was so excited to see your handsome...

Day is done,
gone the sun,
From the hills,
from the lake,
From the skies.
All is well,
safely rest,
God is nigh.
Go to sleep,
peaceful sleep,
May the soldier
or sailor,
God keep.
On the land
or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night,
Must thou go,
When the day,
And the night
Need thee so?
All is well.
Speedeth all
To their rest.

Fades the light;
And...

To Ed's Family:

I worked with Ed at the Wheeler Regional Family YMCA for over 4 years. He was a gentle giant. He was tall in stature, integrity and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family, his bike rides to Washington DC and sharing his knowledge of fitness with others. All of his personal training clients had the upmost respect for him and he made a difference in many lives. Josh, his nephew, works with us and he shares the same attributes. I am so proud to have...

I will not speak on Ed's character or how much he was loved by his friends and family. Those things are obvious. I can honestly only remember Ed smiling and having fun. I remember trips to Boston and a long ride to Vermont on a very cold day. I remember a lousy fisherman in goofy shorts making fun of himself. Most of all, like so many others, I remember always feeling good when Ed was around.
I have always looked up to you and always will. See you on the other side my friend.

Our deepest sympathy to the Mercure Family. May Ed's strength and quiet fortitude sustain you during this tough time.. Cleary, a wonderful Father, Son, Brother, Friend...

To Ed's entire family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We admired Ed very much. As they say, "only the good die young" and it is so true. May your happy memories live on forever. All our Love, Carmine & Angela Colossale and Family.
