My sincere condolences to the Pitkin family. I had the pleasure of being a teammate of Ed's on the 1966 Bulkeley High School basketball team. Ed was a rock-solid and savvy ballplayer. You knew that whenever Coach Bazzano put him in the game, you could count on Ed to do whatever had to be done: He would always cover his teammates' backs. Ed was always a highly respected Bulldog on and off the court.
