My sincere condolences to the Pitkin family. I had the pleasure of being a teammate of Ed's on the 1966 Bulkeley High School basketball team. Ed was a rock-solid and savvy ballplayer. You knew that whenever Coach Bazzano put him in the game, you could count on Ed to do whatever had to be done: He would always cover his teammates' backs. Ed was always a highly respected Bulldog on and off the court.

Dear Karen, Jason, Kendra, Michael, Jaime and children, there is no way to describe the sadness that myself and my family feel at this time. Ted was a very important part of our life and we have had the pleasure of a special friendship for so many years. I will miss his laughter and silly banter as we exchange obnoxious comments each time I call the house to say "hello". Teds passing will affect us for the rest of our lives. We have lost someone SO dear and SO loved by our family. Rest in peace "handsome", wonderful friend............ until we meet again. XO
