My father and I shook hands with Mr. Saylor at the City Hall in Enumclaw, Washington, when he was inducted onto the City's "Walk of Fame" in 2013. It was a true honor to meet him. I also honor the memory of my father, and speak the same sentiments for him, as well, as it touched both of us to attend the ceremony and shake hands with a WWII hero. Ed Saylor is an American hero, & we celebrate his life for that. Still, he was a hero to me & my family for so many more reasons --- Ed & Lorraine gave me my best friend, Charlotte, 38 years ago, they were the best neighbors, Ed would show up & fix anything for us, when needed. My Father I miss him every day...he was such a part of my life it's sad he's gone. He was even at 94 my go to helper on how to fix,repair things and etc ! He even left his mark on his grandchildren and great grandchildren! He will never be forgotten! Love you Dad...Charlotte
