I worked in the OR with Dr. Smeloff for about 15yrs. It was an honor to be part of his heart team! He was a great teacher and a neat person with a great sense of humor! I have many good memories of those years! My condolences to his family.

I have fond childhood memories of Dr. Smeloff and his family. My grandmother was employed with the family for many years and my mother worked with Dr. Smeloff at Sutter Memorial. My prayers are with the family at this time. Milton Macklin

While I did not have the opportunity to personally work with Dr. Smelofff, I knew my mother was in the best of hands...

I had the pleasure of working in the O.R. with Dr. Smeloff from 1968 to 1980. He was a wonderful man,a great surgeon and absolute gentleman. All of us who had the opportunity to work with him will always have great everlasting memories of him.
