Our thoughts and prayers are with you after the loss of your brother, husband, uncle, cousin, and friend. Although your hearts grieve at this time, we hope your spirits will be lifted by the wonderful memories of Ed and the many lives he touched that we were only privy to through the wonderful words written about his life. Staceia,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss! You are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Ed, there are no words that can express how much you touched my heart and my life. An example of love and kindness in the midst of suffering. We shared some great laughs, and fruit Mentos! I know I will see you again and for that I am most grateful. George (named by you) the Poinsettia lives on in your memory but this earth will not be the same with out you! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your life, it was one of my most precious gifts.

The Washington State Veterans Cemetery extends our deepest sympathies to the family of Edward R. Summers for your loss. We honor him for the service and sacrifice he has made for our nation, he is a true hero.
