My condolences to the entire Waller family. VADM Waller was a legend in the P-3 community. I was roommates with his son, Ed, at the Naval Academy. Ed kept a framed photo of his Dad on his desk. Whenever our room was inspected, the first thing the inspector saw was that photo. “Oh, you’re Dad’s an Admiral. Well, this room passes.” Later, when he was stationed in the DC area, the admiral would quietly slip into wardroom to eat with us. I had some great conversations with him about Naval...
