Sending healing prayers and comfort during this tough time. Mr. Whitby was truly an amazing man. One of my fondest memories I have from Springhouse (in the late 70's) was when he covered for our gymnastics coach at a meet against Raub middle school. We were all so nervous but he reassured us that everything was going to be just fine. I threw my first front handspring on the vault that day. He was right there jumping and clapping. What a true inspiration he was.

There are rare individuals who stand out as truly one of a kind, leaving an indelible mark on everyone they encounter. Mr Whitby was undeniably one of those wonderful souls. His sternness and toughness were always balanced by a deep sense of compassion, and his very presence exuded warmth and kindness. I was a terrible student at spring house in the 90´s and was in his office daily. He is me of the only teaching professionals I remember as he never gave up and always tried to help me. Rest in peace.
