Ed was my favorite business friend for more than 20 years when I worked in the Atlanta area. Always a gentleman and helping me with trading ideas, Ed was my "first call", which Salomon loved to know, whenever I had the next trade to propose. Dear Bette and family- I just learned of Edwin's death yesterday and was so very saddened. You have been all over my thoughts and my mind since that time. As you know, Edwin was a priceless man and I feel so grateful to have been his friend. You will remain on my heart and in my prayers. I am so very sorry for your loss. Corby Barkhaus

Hello Sweet Bette,
I was out of town last Monday and Tuesday and did not even hear about Edwin's passing until today. I was stunned and saddened and have had you and Edwin on my mind since learning the news this morning. Mercy, you have been an inspiration to me over the years.
