Not sure what to say?

An amazing man, an amazing cousin, a very best friend, and my faux big brother. I will miss you terribly, and loved you dearly.

I worked for Ed as the editor of The Lane Report and several other publications from 1991 through 1994. He was ever the optimist and realist. He was certainly one of my teachers in this journey. We had our ups and downs in running the editorial department, but at the end of the day Ed would always say, "If we both always agreed with each other then we would only need one of us." I'm so very sorry to learn of Ed's passing, I knew him when he worked in New York. He was a kind and gentle man. Lennette Wood

Sorry to hear about Ed. Frank Chambers

We were introduced to Ed by a dear friend ... his warmth and sincerity were obvious. We were lucky enough to enjoy several of his home-prepared meals; a real treat, to be sure. Ed will be missed by the entire Lexington community.
Offering deep condolences to the family ...

Our deepest sympathies to the Lane family. We both attended high school with Ed at Sandy Springs in Atlanta. He was an energetic dynamo then, too. Rest in peace, Ed Lane.

Meredith,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
We love you.

I will always remember Mr. Lane as a smart and generous man who was quick with a warm smile and a friendly handshake.

I am so grateful to have worked with him on the campaign trail. The 12th District, and Fayette County at-large, will benefit for years to come because of the work and planning performed by Mr. Lane. He will be greatly missed.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD MEREDITH. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND FAMILY. KENNY & JEAN KIRK
