Ed was a very remarkable man. Very generous and very kind. I have known him most of my adult life. I was married to his wife´s (Becky) late brother Jack Wheless for 23 years. Ed was fun to be around, as smart as a whip and had a fantastic sense of humor. I know Ed´s death is a devastating loss for Becky, and his immediate family. Ed was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Ed was one of the nicest, easy-going guys I've known. Seeing his picture is especially hard...the same knowing, open, friendly smile of his youth. My family left Norfolk in 1965 so we only connected occasionally over the years and only once in person since NA, but he was one of those people that you think of frequently and silently wish the best... A friend who is always a friend no matter how long you've been separated. RIP, Ed. I'll see you again...
