He will be missed. I great man, coach and life teacher. A very good influence in many former players hearts and soul.

He was Coach Vela to me but to the three sons he was Dad, one of the highest callings. I celebrate his life and the many lives he touched, but feel sorrow at his passing. Most of all he was an encourager of men. He will always be Coach to me and my favorite coach. Blessings and comfort to the family! Mike Russell - Rattlers football 1969
