Uncle Egbert

“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.” —Leo Buscaglia

My heart is filled with emotions when I think about Uncle Egbert. I promised him that I would have visited him. He was sad and in pain in my last conversation with him, and I again promised to visit but then COVID happened and I was not able to do so before his...

My Early Memories of My Brother EGBERT up to when I was age 13:
Growing up inJamaica with my brother Egbert aka Eggie, aka Brother Dear, these are my memories of him.
1) He was such a fun brother. Loveable, popular and protective of his siblings and cousins. No one messed around with us or gave us a hard time because they knew they would have a reckoning with Egbert☺. He looked out for us.

2) He was also a bundle of fun, a comedian and had everyone in stitches with his...

Precious memories... how they linger...

Uncle Egbert was a warm and generous human being.

He had the innate ability to make us all laugh, without even trying. He also had a tender ❤ heart.

I will miss our telephone conversations across the Atlantic and his occasional visits to the UK, where he and his siblings would reminisce about their days growing up in Bog Walk, Jamaica.

It was wonderful to hear the stories of uncle's escapades at Tulloch...

Uncle Egbert was a pillar of the GOLDING family. He will be affectionately remembered as a great story teller and historian. He had a big ❤. Greeted everyone with a warm smile . He was a great cook and ready to offer you a home cook meal. He was a confidant and a friend for those in need.
Tamar and Brenda your grandpa loved you both immensely and would do anything for you both.
Little man Liam your great grandpa loved you and is so proud of you. He is sending you angel kisses...

During this difficult time please know that you are not alone. Sharing your loss with deepest sympathy. Will always remember his gentle demeanour and warm smile. The Deardens

Egbert was such a fun person to be around. Growing up in Jamaica he was soo mischievous. He was also a kind and protective brother. I will miss our telephone conversations with Egbert Starting the conversation with "Lorna this is your brother Egbert". The bible says, God will open their eyes, no suffering, sickness and pain. Those who do good, neternal life they will gain. Till we meet again. Your sister Lorna.

To know Uncle Egbert, is to have loved him. I pray for my cousins, Tamar and Brenda, that your strength love and courage continues to grow during this difficult time. We love you and are praying for you and your family. Love always and forever,
-Thane Family
