Ehtel Hillyard Obituary

HILLYARD Ethel Obi Hillyard, 83, of Jacksonville, passed away on May 24, 2012. Ethel is a native of Jacksonville. She has many careers including being a church assistant at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years and a founding member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Ethel was very proud of the Florida Gators. She is preceded in death by her parents Habib and Raina Obi, sister, Evelyn White (Patrick), brothers, Edward Obi (Lupe) and Thomas Obi (Eva). Ethel is survived by her children, Richard Hillyard (Kay) of Duluth, GA, Linda Davis and Marcia Hittell (Ralph), brothers, George Obi (Frances), Dr. Lewis Obi (Myra), Jimmy Obi (Jeanie) of Charlotte, NC, and David Obi (Yvonne), nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel will be remembered for the love of her Lord, family, and friends. Funeral arragements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A rosary will be held at Town and Country Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church located at 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jax Fl 32210 on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10:00 am. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
