AMES-Eileen Hopkins Ames, "Betty May" died at home San Rafael 9 Nov 2010 age 84 of natural causes. Born London 10 Nov 1925 to Eileen Thomas (of Wolverhampton) and Prynce Hopkins (of Santa Barbara CA). Emig. from England to Pasadena 1940, where resided 63 yrs. Grad of Katherine Branson School, Scripps College and Glendale School of Law. Married 1st Thomas W. Ames and 2nd Jerry Mlynko. Charter member Crown Guild for Crippled Children. Publicity Cha ir LA Arboretum many yrs. Board mem. of Pas. Mental Health Assoc, Volunteer Bureaus of Amer, Dispensary Aux, Sierra Madre Family Service. Passions: writing, photography, travel & gardening. Moved San Rafael 2003. Survived by children: Mary Ames Mitchell, Thomas W. Ames, Jr. & Charles H. Ames & 6 grand- children. Memorial service: St. Paul's, San Rafael 18 Nov 10am. Graveside service 19 Nov 11am Santa Barbara Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, pls donate to Planned Parenthood or Union Station.
