June 28, 1938 – May 7, 2025
Elayne Doran was born on June 28, 1938, in Eagle Rock, CA. Elayne spent her childhood years in El Monte, CA, and married Mike Doran in July 1956. The family moved to Imperial Valley in 1963, where she stayed busy raising their 3 girls, volunteering at Mulberry School and 4-H. Later in life, Elayne began managing Brawley Public Scales on the property they owned since 1969. Elayne and Mike moved to San Diego in 2018. Elayne passed away on May 7, 2025, in San Diego, surrounded by family.
Elayne was preceded in death by her parents, Robert LeRoy & Elsie Clemans; her brother, Harvey Clemans; her spouse, Mike Doran; and grandson, David Hoagland.
Elayne is survived by her daughters, Juanita Pappert (Stephen), Laurette Hoagland (Bob), and Susan Koon (Paul); Elayne's two sisters; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9 to 10 a.m. pre-service reception and service at 10 a.m. at Canyons Church, 5055 Governor Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.

I worked with Elayne & Mike Doran when they worked in real estate. They were a lovely couple and their affection for each other was memorable and I am very sorry to hear of her passing. Beautiful woman. God Bless her family.
