Elbert Davidson, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was born to the late Felix and Maggie Davidson on May 15, 1927 in Clay Co., Kentucky. Elbert was the beloved husband of the late Rachel Davidson; devoted father of Rene Abner (Jim), Jeff Davidson (Sheila) and Tim Davidson (the late Joanie); Brother to George Gilbert, cherished Papa of grandchildren: Becky Powers (Billy), Jessica Tarter, Tammy Abner (Jerry), Amanda Rossmann (Adam), Erica Sweeney (Matt), Joe Davidson, Josh Davidson (Emily) and Matthew Davidson (Dallas) as well as great-grandchildren: Tia and Avery Powers, Sahara and Nora Tolbert, Max and Amelia Rossmann, Jade and Ivy Sweeney, and Landon and Sage Hall.

Elbert was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He also was keen hunter and when he was able, enjoyed tending to his garden where he grew food for his family. Above all, however, Elbert adored his grandchildren and relished in their time together.

Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to hear about Elbert's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend as were all the Davidsons I lived nest door to on Thornview Dr. for many years. In this time of sadness and loss, I pray that God would bless and comfort all of you who were a part of Elbert's family.
