One of my fondest memories of Elda was the times she would bring my family a plate of raviolis that she would bring back from her visits to her family up in Weed. They were the best tasting raviolis that I have ever had in my life. She was always a great friend to our family. After my father passed away, Elda always made sure my mom was doing okay. We will all miss her. She was a great lady.

I first met the Lockhart family when I was a little kid. We moved in down the street from them. The whole family were nice people. I am sorry for your sorrows.

I first met Elda as Mrs. Lockhart, Lorene's mom. That was in the 50s when Lorene and I were in elementary school. I reconnected with the family our freshman year in high school. Elda was always kind to all of us girls and made us feel at home. She was a great lady and witty throughout her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by her family.

I was in my first year at Shasta College during the Fall of 1965 and got a job at Wards. Elda made my first job a delight. We hauled a lot of steer manure together and she taught me love plants. I have not seen her for 45+ years. I am so please she had a long and full life. I am sorry for your loss of this delightful lady.

I worked with Elda at Wards during the '70's. She was so informative, spunky and a joy to be around! I still have recipe cards for her favorite dishes to bring to the company potlucks that she wrote out for me. What a wonderful lady and legacy. A pleasure to have known and worked with her. Sincere condolences to her family. Shannon(Cantrell) Preisendorfer
