I was a teacher for Deaf students at Glendale School and remember your Dad and Mom as wonderful boarding home parents for our students. These were children who lived at home Friday through Sunday but stayed with the Hoels during the school week. Parents who lived in rural areas were grateful for a trusted family to support them in giving their child the education they needed. Great people!!!

My deepest sympathy to the Hoel family . Your dad lived a long life just like my dad who was 97 . They were 2nd cousins and so your dad was my 3rd cousin. He always had a beautiful yard on Tulane Ave. My prayers are with your family Paul. I will be praying for strength that you will get through this.
