Not sure what to say?

Although I only met Eleanore once in person I feel very blessed that I got to speak with her over the phone a few times. She was always very concerned about my health and would ask my mom how I was doing frequently. After having surgery she sent me a gift card and told me to buy something special with it and think of her. Eleanore was one of the most thoughtful and caring people that I have met and I feel blessed that she was in my life even if I didn't know her as well as some. Sending my...

Lauren and family, I am sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing. From the obituary you wrote you can tell she was very proud of her family and she enjoyed life. I hope you find comfort in all your cherished memories of her. Your Krueger cousin, Gail

Aunt Els 100th birthday celebration.

What a special Aunt you have been! You were always there to lend an encouraging word after my Mom, your sister, passed many years ago. Always remembering the special dates, and even what my kids were doing! Our chats on the phone always made my day. I will smile as I remember you at your 100th birthday celebration, sitting by the band, clapping your hands and smiling ear to ear. I will miss you so very much. A part of you will always stay with me. ❤

Ellie was a spitfire and a hoot and had the biggest heart ever. I'll never forget her intelligence and wit. I only got to see her a few times when she visited Lauren in CA, but she had the rare ability to make everyone around her feel uplifted and listened to. If you were lucky enough to cross her path, you would immediately feel her kindness and respect. I am so grateful to have known her.

My heart is breaking and words are failing me. You were the best Mom anyone could ever ask for, and after Daddy died you were both mother and father to me. I will always remember how wise you were and what a hard-working, kind person you were, with a sharp wit and a love of family. You would never hesitate to make fun of yourself in order to make someone laugh. Your cooking was legendary in the family; you couldn't bear to serve store-bought food when you could make it yourself, and you...

Eleanore's 100th bday party

I feel so privileged to have seen Eleanore turn 100 and to continue to get to know her even now through family stories. Her positive attitude in the face of hardship continues to inspire me. Sending love and warm thoughts to the whole family in this difficult time.

Not everyone is as lucky as I have been to have an aunt like Eleanore in my life for so long. I feel blessed! Her sense of humor and her stories gave me new perspectives and brightened my days. It was a joy to talk to her. The world would definitely be a better place if there were more people like Eleanore in it. She had an open and loving heart that inspired others to be the best version of themselves. Thank you for sharing your light and love with me, Aunt El. You will be in my heart...

Sharon no matter how long we have our Moms it still a difficult time. May she rest in peace.
With love,

I feel so blessed to have had 28 years with you. You are the best grandma I could ask for. My grandma taught me so much about kindness, generosity, and it was always a great hearing her wisdom. My grandma was full of stories. She was always delighted to get a phone call, and over the moon when we would visit. I loved memories of Wheaton growing up, which eventually transitioned into seeing grandma in Rockford at the Bickford house. Grandma was the real deal when it came to playing many...
