Eli Horn Jr.

Eli was my friend. He told me boxing and military stories like he was my grandfather, but we also shared a real witty humor about life and disabilities and learning.
With the help of Mary Bravewoman (among many others in the assistance center), (Chris Moradi, Joe) we power struggled through math classes, and when there was no tutor we protested to the administration! I attend the water aerobics classes at Orange Pool and Eli joined our group a few months ago. As the only other guy, in a group of ladies, Eli and I became friends and, it turned out, being just a few months apart in age and having both attended basic training at Fort Ord, within a couple of months of each other, we had a lot in common, further binding the friendship. Eli was at the class on the 19th and I missed him on Thursday. His family has lost a really cool guy.
