He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Friends may visit Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City from 4:00pm to 9:00pm where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be Celebrated also at DUGGAN'S Thursday, January 28th at 11:00am.

Eli was my friend. He told me boxing and military stories like he was my grandfather, but we also shared a real witty humor about life and disabilities and learning.
With the help of Mary Bravewoman (among many others in the assistance center), (Chris Moradi, Joe) we power struggled through math classes, and when there was no tutor we protested to the administration! And then taught each-other trigonometry, backwards, using the solutions manual. He loved to write, and just last year he helped me refine my personal statement for my college applications.
Eli was a good man and he lived a full life. My heart goes out to Liz and the family. I know God will comfort you today and all the days that follow. God Bless you, Ammy J.

I attend the water aerobics classes at Orange Pool and Eli joined our group a few months ago. As the only other guy, in a group of ladies, Eli and I became friends and, it turned out, being just a few months apart in age and having both attended basic training at Fort Ord, within a couple of months of each other, we had a lot in common, further binding the friendship. Eli was at the class on the 19th and I missed him on Thursday. His family has lost a really cool guy.
