Not sure what to say?

You were a true leader, role model, and mentor....A MAN OF HONOR! "To whom much is given, much is required." Thanks for the legacy. You positively impacted the lives of so many aspiring youths and future leaders. Heartbroken to learn we lived in the same subdivision for 15 years without knowing it. Knew your lawn was always neatly manicured and looked like the annual "Yard of The Month". Mr. Slaughter ....a dynamic mentor for all Upward Bound...

Although I never met him,I did meet Uncle Ernest. I am Lula Slaughter-Rucker and I would like to meet other members of my family. My father was Earl Slaughter.Contact !e at [email protected]

Many will forever be grateful for the pre-college experience and opportunities afforded them through Mr. Slaughter's caring (and commitment to excellence) as former Director of the Upward Bound Program-Tougaloo College.

Mr. Slaughter made a difference! He will be missed.

Heartfelt condolences to the family,

Phyllis Ware Parker
Miss Upward Bound 1974

Elijah touched many lives in a positive way during his lifetime. Our genuine love for Tougaloo Prep and Tougaloo College made our paths cross on many occasions. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, but especially to his sister, Kathryn.

You are in our Prayers and so sorry we are unable to be there to share in your sorrow. May God Bless and Keep you. WE will continue to keep you in our Prayers.

God love and peace

A year ago, I was granted the privilege to acknowledge and thank Mr.Slaughter for recognizing the potential of a 13 year old student...Today, I stand on his shoulders. Rest in Peace my dear mentor,
Dianna Grant-Burke, MD Tougaloo Upward Bound and Tougaloo College ,Class of 1975

I would like to offer condolences to the Slaughter Family. Mr. Slaughter was a great administrator and visionary. He was a mentor and role model to all of the Tougaloo College Upward Bound and Talent Search Students. We are all saddened to hear of his transiton to heaven. My prayer is that God's peace and blessings will continue to be with Mrs. Slaughter and all of the family members now and forever more.

Kind and Best Regards with Sympathy,

Pat Cole

May you find comfort from the God of All Comfort.
