You were a true leader, role model, and mentor....A MAN OF HONOR!

"To whom much is given, much is required."

Thanks for the legacy.

You positively impacted the lives of so many aspiring youths and future leaders.

Heartbroken to learn we lived in the same subdivision for 15 years without knowing it.

Knew your lawn was always neatly manicured and looked like the annual "Yard of The Month". Mr. Slaughter ....a dynamic mentor for all Upward Bound high school students.

Under your leadership, I will always treasure being crowned Miss Upward Bound.!

Your leadership inspire so many to do and be their best. THANK YOU.

Heartfelt sympathy,

Lula Slaughter Rucker

Elijah touched many lives in a positive way during his lifetime. Our genuine love for Tougaloo Prep and Tougaloo College made our paths cross on many occasions. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, but especially to his sister, Kathryn.
