Elizabeth Gill Obituary

Elizabeth Lomax Gill
'Betty'
Elizabeth Lomax Gill, of Charlotte, left this world to be with her God on Friday, July 2, 2010. Betty was a loving mother and dedicated wife who shared her love with everyone she met.
Betty was born on October 7, 1927 to Malcomb and Kathryn Lomax in Atlanta, Georgia. Her joy in life was teaching young children at school and church. She had a compassion and smile that would light up a room and she made every child know that they were loved.
She is survived by her husband Joseph R. Gill; a daughter Elizabeth Diane Gill; a son Eric R. Gill and daughter-in-law Terri C. Gill; granddaughters Sarah and Casey Gill; a sister Kathryn L. Gill and a brother Malcomb Lomax.
A Graveside Service will be held today, July 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. In lieu of flowers, please plant a rose bush in Betty's honor and may you smile and remember her each time you look upon its blooms. Memorials may be made to Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
