Elizabeth Melmer Obituary

Greeneville, Tenn. - Elizabeth (L'Heureux) Melmer of Greeneville, formerly of Norwich, went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015.

She was born June 28, 1946, in Stuart, Fla., the daughter of Harold and Eloise L'Heureux. The two retired in 1989 to Greeneville, Tenn., where they lived happily together until Harv's passing in 2001. Betty's love for animals and nurturing personality was apparent in all she did.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Elizabeth Melmer. I knew "Betty" for many years in Greeneville, TN and I considered her a close friend. We worshipped together at the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I first met Betty when Harvey was on dialysis because my husband was on dialysis too. She will really be missed!

Elizabeth was a good friend and fellow church member. She was active in many clubs doing many jobs until she became unable to participate due to her health.

She especially loved her dogs Peaches and Muffin. Sparkly pink was the color she loved best.

She will be missed.
