Elizabeth E. "Betty" Mooney

1924 - 2019

Elizabeth (Betty) Mooney, 94, formerly of Rocky Hill, passed away from a brief illness on January 22, 2019, at Estelle's Hospice House, Ocala, Fl. She was born August 8, 1924 and raised in Branford, CT and settled in Rocky Hill for over 70 years after marriage. She was the daughter of the late George and Julanda Anderson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Lloyd Mooney, her oldest son, Ronald Mooney and grandson, Shannon Mooney. She leaves behind her daughter, Geraldine Francis and her husband, William, of Summerfield, FL and one son, Richard Mooney and his wife Gayle of Honolulu, Hawaii, and her daughter-in-law, Lynne Mooney of Meriden, CT.Betty worked at The Rare Reminder for 35 years and was a member of The Rocky Hill Congregational Church.She is survived by seven grandchildren, William (B.C.) and his wife Valerie of Winter Park, Fl, Robert Francis and his wife, Flora, of Alexandria, VA, Elizabeth Francis of Summerfield, Fl, Todd Mooney and his wife Kwan of Honolulu, Hawaii, Christine Ganter and her husband Al of Meriden, CT, Colleen Perry and her husband Todd of Meriden, CT. and Heather Ruotolo and her husband James of Southington, CT. She is survived by ten great grandchildren, Christian Francis of Winter Park, Franco Francis and soon to be born sister, Alexandria, VA, Parker, Elle and Brandt Mooney of Honolulu, Hawaii, Max Ganter of Meriden, CT, Alec and Luke Perry of Meriden, CT and Olivia and Avery Ruotolo of Southington, CT.A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
