Ella joined our Centre County Senior Environmental Corps when encouraged by Genie Robine. She was immediately a positive presence-besides her warm smile and positive presence, she took on the job of secretary and served for many years. She was always happy to update me on the Gentzel kids that had been in my 5th and 6th grade classroom, beaming with pride. We have missed her these past few years, but we won't forget her. Ella was a once in a lifetime friend! We shared decades of experiences and stories. I am blessed and grateful to have had her in my life. She impacted more lives than she likely realized. I´m sure Paul was ready to greet her with a big bear hug! Anyone fortunate to have had Ella in their lives was blessed - family, friend, colleague ... prayers to each of you. One can never forget that wonderful smile that always greeted everyone she met. She was a heart warming and understanding woman. People like Ella are few and far between. I am pleased to say I knew and respected her.

I am so very sorry to read of Ella's passing. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. I had the pleasure of working with her in the Eberly College of Science HR Office. Her family will be in my thoughts and prayers. ~ Cathy
