Not sure what to say?

I considered Ellen to be my best friend in high school at West Rome High. We both played clarinet in the band and I recall her sharing her instrument with me while playing at a football game when I forgot mine. I also recall many, many visits to her home and wonderful conversations with her gracious mother. She was raised in a beautiful home at the base of the hill below Shorter College. The house was next door to my high school sweetheart, Chuck Cade's house. I am thankful that I got to see...

Ellen was my teaching partner, mentor, and true blue friend for so many years. I could always count on her to be there for me. She made a positive impact on so many and I will miss her.

Most wonderful next door neighbor for years in Smyrna,Ga. She was a wonderful person and teacher. Always there for us.

Ellen will be missed tremendously by us all. Her flower gardens were the envy of the neighborhood. She always had a smile and a kind word. Clyde and the family will be in our prayers during this difficult time. Rest in peace dear Ellen.

My sister was my best friend in our adult lives. I will cherish forever our trips and adventures. My dog Jumper loved her more than me and eagerly anticipated her visits with Ellen. How many people can say that! She battled ovarian cancer for three years with fortitude and grace. She was indeed a brave woman. May she rest in peace. Loving her forever.

My wife,Sue, and I are so sorry about the passing of Ellen. I did not know her, but consider Clyde a dear friend of many years. My prayer is that God will temper Ellen's family and friends with His grace and fill all hearts with precious memories and hope.

Ellen was a wonderful aunt to me, my brother and our children. Much thanks to all who cared for her, especially Clyde, David and Charlotte.

Ellen was so sweet and we have been privileged to know her and be her neighbor. She will be missed!
