My wife Elia and I deepest heartfelt condolences to Adele and their family. Elliott bottom hired me the summer of 1970 right out of high school . I trained with Nell Fischer in the lobby and then in the bookkeeping department with Jane Bell to learn signatures. Mr. Bottom financially sponsored a 17-day track and field trip to Scandinavia for me during the summer after my freshman year at Sharyland High in 1987. I was 15 years-old and had raced at the Texas UIL State Track and Field Meet a few months earlier. The invitation-only trip was an amazing opportunity where I would get to meet and train with young track and field athletes from across America and race overseas.
