ELSA MARIE GEHRING (Age 22)
Unexpectedly and unexplained, in her home, April 26, 2016.Survived by her mother and father, Valerie and Joe Cadieux; siblings Stefan, Craig and Tatiana Cadieux; and grandmother Nancy Gehring. She also she leaves her loving companions, Belle & Kitty. Predeceased by her beloved grandfather, Harold Gehring. A graduate of Hollins University, she was an accomplished photographer, sketch artist, painter, aspiring tattoo artist, equestrienne, clarinet player, and an incredibly loyal friend. Viewings will be held at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. and at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thursday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral: Good Shepherd, Thursday. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, S. King''s Hwy. Reception after burial at Good Shepherd. Celebration of Life Dinner at Bungalow''s, 6 p.m. ThursdayIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI); for the research of mental disorders. Or, you may also choose to donate to The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) which "undertakes research on the neurobiology of addiction with the aim of developing targeted treatments to support recovery."

I'm truly sorry to hear of Elsa's passing. It was only a couple days ago that I learned of it and I feel horrible that I never kept in touch with her.
I remember she trained me for my job at Gold's Gym and never got to form a better friendship with her. And then I lost contact with her altogether after I moved.
I pray for for you and your family. My sincerest condolences.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Elsa's passing. I remember babysitting her as a little toddler; so cute. So sorry for your loss, Val and the other Cadieux family members. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

I am shocked beyond belief. I had Elsa when I subbed for her arts/photography class and always enjoyed talking to her. I cannot imagine what you are going through at this moment. I wish you peace.

Your beautiful Elsa was a friend of my daughter, Meghan, at Hollins. Meg too struggles as Elsa did. I want you to know how much Elsa meant to the girls at Hollins and how much they miss her. Meg tells me just how wonderful a person Elsa was. You should be so proud to have had her in your lives. With sincere sympathy.
