Elsie Park Boney

Elsie Park Boney COLUMBIA - Elsie Park Boney, age 78, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born October 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Celeste and Marion A. Park. She was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church and worked many years in the church nursery and Timmerman School extended care program. She enjoyed working in the yard, spending time with her dog and loved all animals. She fought a hard battle with lung cancer and will be greatly missed. Surviving are daughters, Debbie Boney, Cindy Barber (Jim); grandson, Zack Barber; and her beloved dog and companion, Belle. The family will receive friends Friday, April 11, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr.'s El Geneidy, Cauthen, Ambroziak and their staffs; as well as Amedisys and the Providence Hospital ICU nursing staff who all provided outstanding care and comfort.
