She has been a long-time member of the First Christian Church where she served as an elder, deacon, and president of the Women's Board and was honored as Elder Emeritus in 2012. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Territorial Daughters of Colorado, Woolgrowers Association, Cowbells of Colorado, and served as president of many of them. Elsie chaired the Make It Yourself with Wool Contest. She loved her bowling groups, her book clubs, golf, travel, reading, and entertaining at the cabin up on Pinon Mesa.

Well cousin Elsie, you lived a good long life. What fun we had pouring over our family genealogy, the family reunion at Mesa, and our adventure going up to the Silzell Cow Camp. Visiting Grand Junction will not be the same without you there. I love you!!! Prayers for comfort for your family.
