Not sure what to say?

Having been a classmate of Elsie since grade school at St. Patricks, Cedar Rapids, through to high school graduation, perhaps I have known Elsie longer than most folks around. Elsie has been one of my wife Erma's and my favorite people. Since we live in California we have seen Elsie at every class reunion and several times over the years, she always had that welcoming smile and warm personality. Although we will miss Elsie, we know that she is now with Jesus whom she had a close...

I remember Elsie fondly as a calm, gentle, caring person with a quick smile who could light up a room. She was a dear friend to my mother (Mae McGuire) and I always enjoyed her visits when I was young. Prayers for your family during this difficult time. Kathy (McGuire) Flores

Elsie was a bright light in this world, illuminating love everywhere she went. And I had the privilege of being loved by her. I will always remember her gentleness, kindness and warm smile, even her great sense of humor. She was beautiful inside and out. I will really miss her a lot. But the memories of her will be forever in my heart.

I have so many wonderful memories, including our trips to the US Open in NY, USTA tennis meets, shopping "sprees", and every Saturday after tennis going to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts for a frozen mocha. I will miss her very much, may she rest in peace.

Elsie was a wonderful person. Sincerest condolences to the Schillig family.

I enjoyed our chats after daily mass, Elsie! And thank you for that tennis racket ornament. I will treasure that dearly. RIP my friend! Condolences to Chuck, Miki and family. You will be in my prayers
