I knew Elvira only during our high school years at Austin High School and she would come into my thoughts throughout the past 50 years. Why? Because I remember her being so kind to someone like me, a socially awkward, shy and overweight high school girl. I remember that she was smart and that she always spoke to me. I am sorry for the loss of this person who I wish I had not lost contact with. Thank you to her family for taking the time to let El Paso know of her passing. It's heart...
