Not sure what to say?

From the family of Francis Adams,
We were saddened at the news of Buddys passing. We send heartfelt sympathy and will always remember the kindness extended to our family

I think everyone in Beltsville loved Buddy. My Dad and Buddy were great friends. I used to stop in after school and put eggs in their cartons for Buddy. He used to give me a free soda for helping him. Even though I moved away from Beltsville, I would still stop in to see Buddy and Sonny, just to say "hi." My Dad past away 9 years ago. When I would stop in to see Buddy he would always get tears in his eyes & tell me he sure missed my Dad. Boteler store was the greatest & will always be...

Having worked with Buddy at the store thru high school,as many teens in Beltsville did, I felt like he was family. Buddy treated all of us to a great experience in our first job, making us feel part of the Boteler Store history. He and Cliff were the greatest bosses I have ever known, and Buddy taught me not to judge a man by his size when he would go into the cooler ,grab a 185 lb.hind quarter like it was nothing and toss it onto the cutting table. Buddy, Lil, and Cliff will always be a part...

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the family. "Uncle Bud" will remain in our thoughts forever.

Uncle "Buddy" was a part of Beltsville! Just as- Botelers store,Beltsville Shell, "Phil's"Bar & Grill, High Point High School, even Beltsville Vol.Fire Dept....I feel fortunate to have grown up in Beltsville MD. when I did..The "Good ole days"The 50's 60's & 70's! Rest in peace uncle 'Buddy' You certainly lived a long life!

I will always remember Buddy sitting behind the counter at Botelers Store, keeeping a watchful eye on the rambunctious teens as they shopped for sodas, cigarettes and candy. He was a Beltsville icon and will surely be missed, as is the store. Sympathies to Sonny and the rest of the family.

Sonny and family; Please accept my condolences on the loss of Buddy. Although Buddy - and the old store - may be gone, they will all live forever in our hearts. God bless and keep you all. - Bob Ridgeway

My sympathy goes out to Sonny, Frank, and the rest of the family members. Buddy was such a wonderful person and will be missed so much.

Beltsville and the Boteler extended family have lost a wonderful, caring, gentle man. He touched so many people in such a positive way for so many decades.

Sincerest sympathies.
