Columbia, South Carolina - A funeral service for Emily Lesesne Crapps, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Crapps died Saturday, August 27, 2022. Born in Camden, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Bratton Lesesne and Louise Taylor Lesesne. Emily enjoyed her bus trips with Capitol Tours and was an avid Gamecock fan. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church where she was active in Sunday School, Women's Circle, and Young at Heart.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Moseley (Ray) of Lexington, SC; son, David Crapps of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Valerie Peter (Nick) and Chip Brazell (Emma), both of Lexington, SC, and Brooks Tolbert (Anna) of Winter Garden, FL; great-grandchildren, Colin Peter of Lexington, SC, and Elliot Tolbert of Winter Garden, FL; sister, Linda Mitchell (John) of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Frances Lesesne of West Columbia, SC; brother-in-law, Sam Johnson of Lexington, SC; and nieces and nephews.
In addition of her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Julius Milton Crapps, Jr.; daughter, Pam Brazell; son, Clay Crapps; brother, James H. Lesesne; and sister-in-law, Gloria Johnson.
