She was such an inspiration in my younger years. I love her just like family. She will be missed by so many. Life is way too short. Many happy memories of your life in Ohio. To the Smith family, I am so saddened by your loss. Praying for the family.

Emma Sue was my first supervisor. as a teacher in Cabell County Schools over 25 years ago. She was so sweet and patient with the students and her teachers. A very kind soul. She will be missed.

Emma Sue was remarkable. Her knowledge of children and adults with special needs--characteristics and effective teaching techniques ---was unsurpassed. Her experience was broad. Many special education teachers in this area, including myself, benefitted from her experience, wisdom, and kindness.
