Manny was a very good friend of mine. I met him through my high school friend, our mutual friend, Desmond Fahie. I always admired Manny for his many talents and his drive. I find little memories of him almost on a daily basis and my heart is heavy with sorrow for your, all of our, loss. Your son shined a light in my life that I will never fully be able to put into words. He was a cherished and dear friend to me and many others here in san antonio. He is deeply missed.

Dear Boyd family,
I had the honor of knowing Manny for a short time when he played with Plan B in Mississippi. He was a very special young man with an incredible gift for music. The world will be a little less bright now. But as I read the comments from all over the country, it strikes me how many people he touched in his short life. What a testimony!

Manny was optimistic, loving, driven, but more importantly, a truly genuine person and proud daddy. Although I had only known Manny for a short period of time while in Iraq, he shared many great stories and helped us to stay positive. May the Boyd Family please accept my most sincere condolences.
